NHS counselling placements

NHS counselling placements can be commissioned trainee roles, such as PWP or high-intensity CBT training, or unpaid honorary and volunteer placements arranged directly with a service. They are structured and competitive routes to supervised client hours.

What you will usually need

• An enhanced DBS check and occupational health clearance
• A placement letter from your training provider and professional references
• Student indemnity insurance and completion of required NHS training
